On October 29, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine celebrated a significant milestone – just 100 days remain until the XXV Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina. The event held at the «Gulliver» shopping center featured the unveiling of the national team's new Olympic uniform.
In attendance were the president of the NOC of Ukraine, Olympic champion Vadym Guttsait, and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Matviy Bidny.
«This event reaffirms our primary mission: to support our athletes and provide them with everything they need for successful performances. We are all working towards advancing the Olympic movement in Ukraine,» stated Vadym Guttsait.
Matviy Bidny emphasized the importance of this day for Ukrainian athletes: «Today marks a significant date as we start the countdown to the Olympic Games. This is typically when the main competition for licenses begins. Presenting the national team's uniform is a crucial event as it defines how the global community will see us during the Olympics.»
The celebration was graced by legends of Ukrainian sports and future participants of the Winter Games.
Among the Olympic champions and medalists were: Oleksandr Abremenko, Olga Polyuk (both freestyle), Vita Semerenko, Olena Pidhrushna, Olena Petrova, Valentina Tserbe, Nina Lemesh, Serhiy Sednev, Viacheslav Derkach (all biathlon), Mykhailo Kokhan (athletics), Marta Fedina (synchronized swimming).
Current athletes and candidates for the 2026 Olympics include: Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Olena Horodna, Liliya Steblina, Valeriya Dmytrenko (all biathlon), Taras Filyak (alpine skiing), Kateryna Kotsar, Orest Kovalenko (both freestyle), Dmytro Mazurchuk, Oleksandr Shumbarets (both Nordic combined), Anastasia Nikon (cross-country skiing).
The official Olympic uniform for the 2026 Games was produced by the company 4F, the official sponsor of the NOC of Ukraine. The new collection embodies modern Ukrainian identity. It was showcased on stage by Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Taras Filyak, Olena Pidhrushna, Oleksandr Abremenko, Marta Fedina, and Mykhailo Kokhan. The music was provided by Vlad Darvin, who performed a song about Ukraine, adding special emotions to the presentation.
During the event, a video link was established with members of the national team who are currently preparing for the Games. They shared insights on their training and sent greetings to their fans.
The final moment of the event was the ceremonial handing over of the Ukrainian flag that our team will take to Milan. Guests also participated in giveaways from the NOC of Ukraine and the 4F brand, interacted with Olympians, and received autographs.
