On Saturday, September 27, the Ukrainian U-20 football team celebrated a victory against South Korea in their first match of the 2025 World Cup.
The "blue and yellow" quickly took control of the game, opening the scoring in the 13th minute with a precise shot from Synchuk outside the penalty area. Just three minutes later, Pyshchur doubled the lead.
At the start of the second half, the opponents managed to close the gap, but after reviewing the play, the referee decided to disallow the Korean goal for offside.
However, Korea managed to score in the 80th minute following a corner kick, but Ukraine held on to their winning score.
