The Ukrainian team has made an impressive start at the World Para Swimming Championships in Singapore. Over the first three days of competition, our athletes secured 17 medals (3 gold, 8 silver, 6 bronze).
This world championship, held for the first time on the Asian continent, features 580 athletes from 75 countries, including 51 from Ukraine.

Our medalists:

  • «Gold»: Oleksandr Komarov, Anna Hontar, Hanna Polishchuk, and Artem Oliinyk (mixed relay 4x50m freestyle, European record — 2:18.36), Anton Kol (100m backstroke, S1), Ilya Yaremenko (50m freestyle, S12).
  • «Silver»: Artem Oliinyk (50m freestyle, class S5), Oleksiy Virchenko (100m butterfly, S13), Veronika Korzhova (200m individual medley, SM7, European record — 2:56.50), Vladyslav Koshman (100m freestyle, S6), Anna Hontar (100m freestyle, S6), Eduard Horodyanyn (100m backstroke, S8), Hanna Polishchuk (150m individual medley, SM4), Danylo Chufarov (100m breaststroke, SB11).
  • «Bronze»: Anna Hontar (100m backstroke, S6), Igor Nymchenko (50m freestyle, S10 + 200m individual medley, SM10), Kyrylo Poyda (100m backstroke, SB7), Maksym Veraksa (50m freestyle, S12), Eduard Horodyanyn (100m butterfly, S8).
