Ukrainian fencer Vlada Kharkova has won the gold medal at the CISM World Championship for military personnel held in Seville, Spain.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Fencing Federation.
On September 20, the finals took place, where Kharkova faced Swiss representative Angeline Favre.
The bronze medalist of the 2024 European Championship attempted to compete with the 28-year-old Ukrainian, but to no avail – Vlada secured a decisive victory with a score of 15:9, becoming the world champion.
Notably, this gold marks her second world championship title. She won her debut championship title in July at a tournament in Georgia.
As a result, the Ukrainian team concluded the CISM World Championship 2025 with five medals (two golds, one silver, two bronzes).
