Ukrainian athlete Olga Korsun could not clear the qualification round in the triple jump at the 2025 World Championships held in Tokyo, Japan.
Her best attempt reached 13.40 meters, while two other attempts were unsuccessful due to fouls. This resulted in her finishing 16th in Group A and 32nd overall, which was not enough to advance to the finals.
This was Korsun's first appearance at a World Championship. Previously, she did not qualify for the 2024 Olympics and finished 11th at the 2024 European Championships.
Meanwhile, Mykhailo Kokhan successfully advanced to the finals in hammer throw at the 2025 World Championships. Marina Kylipko and Yana Hladychuk were unable to make it to the pole vault finals: Kylipko stopped at a height of 4.45 meters, while Hladychuk failed to clear the opening height of 4.25 meters. A jump of 4.60 meters was required to qualify for the finals.
