The scoring started at the beginning of the second half when Anna Prokopenko seized the moment, positioned herself well, and struck precisely into the corner. The Ukrainians doubled their lead shortly after: Terekh's shot created a rebound that allowed Iryna Dubytska to find the net – 2:0!
The Italians rushed to respond, but Terekh was flawless both in goal and during her exits. However, she was caught off guard during a corner kick, allowing the Italians to equalize with a close-range shot – 2:2.
In the final 12 minutes, both teams fought hard with few scoring opportunities, but the girls under Yuriy Klymenko regained their lead after the halfway point. Dubytska fired from distance, the goalkeeper deflected the ball, and Anna Shulha managed to score while falling down – 3:2!
