21-year-old defender Ivan Shamardin has officially become a player of the Kyiv Capitals, the vice-champions of Ukraine.
This was announced by the club's press service.
Ivan trained in Kharkiv hockey and began his career with Rulav Odd. He later played for Hungarian DVTK Jegesmedvék, Polish UHT Sabers, and Italian Alleghe, where he recorded 11 points (2+9) in the 2024/2025 season. Shamardin also has experience playing for the youth and U-21 national teams of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the team plans to compete in the open championship of Latvia next season, as previously reported by the club manager. Kyiv Capitals has already finalized its coaching staff.
