Young Ukrainian footballer Georgiy Sudakov, who previously played for Shakhtar Donetsk, has signed a contract with Lisbon's Benfica.
According to the information provided by the press service of the Ukrainian club, both teams have finalized all details of the transfer, and the player has signed with the Portuguese side.
Sudakov began his career at Shakhtar's academy in 2017 and made his debut for the first team in a Champions League match against Real Madrid in 2020, quickly establishing himself as a key player.
During his time at Shakhtar, he played 148 matches, scored 35 goals, and provided 26 assists. He won 5 trophies with the team, becoming Ukrainian champion twice (2023, 2024), winning two Ukrainian Cups (2024, 2025) and the Supercup (2021). Last season, he was named the best player of the UPL.
It's also worth noting that his national team teammate, goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin, already plays for Benfica.
