Ukraine's national boxing team roster for the World Championship has been announced!
This prestigious event will take place in Liverpool, England, from September 4 to 14, 2025, under the auspices of the World Boxing Organization, featuring over 550 athletes from 65 countries.
The team was formed based on results from training sparring sessions held in Boyany, Chernivtsi region.
Men's team: Siyovush Mukhamadiyev (50 kg), Oleg Chulyachev (55 kg), Aider Abdurayimov (60 kg), Elvin Aliyev (65 kg), Yuriy Zakhariev (70 kg), Pavlo Ilyusha (75 kg), Matviy Razhba (80 kg), Danilo Zhasan (85 kg), Bohdan Tolmachov (90 kg), Dmytro Lovchynskyi (90 kg+).
Women's team: Hanna Okhota (48 kg), Yaroslav Marinchuk (51 kg), Viktoria Shkeul (54 kg), Darya-Olga Hutarina (57 kg), Tetiana Dovhal (60 kg); Natalia Merinova (65 kg), Anastasiia Chernokolenko (70 kg), Olha Pylypchuk (75 kg), Iryna Lutsak (80 kg), Maria Lovchynska (80 kg+).
“Visas are ready, tickets are booked, everything is paid for, we just need to finalize the names of the athletes who will compete. We carefully selected the first and second members of the team, and only today during training did we finalize the roster,” said Oleg Ilchenko, President of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine, during an open training session.
“Our team is young, and for many of these boxers, it will be their first world championship. Everyone is determined to win, as our country is at war, and each boxer will defend the honor of the nation with maximum dedication,” noted Sergey Hlushchenko, head coach of the men's boxing team.
