World heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) may have his next fight scheduled for early 2026.
This was reported by the director of the Ukrainian boxer's team, Sergey Lapin, in a comment to Seconds Out.
"We are currently working on the next fight. Nearly every fighter has challenged Paul. We are interested in an MMA match. If negotiations go well, the fight with Paul will take place in early 2026," said Lapin.
Recall that Oleksandr Usyk recently knocked out British fighter Daniel Dubois, becoming the undisputed world champion in the heavyweight division (over 90.72 kg) for the second time. He is the first since Muhammad Ali to achieve this feat.
After the fight, Usyk had a stare-down with Jake Paul. Additionally, the Ukrainian champion mentioned a potential third fight with Tyson Fury, while promoter Frank Warren stated that the WBO would require a title defense against Joseph Parker.
