The Ukrainian women's team in épée has made it to the quarterfinals of the 2025 World Championship.

Today, July 28, in Tbilisi at the global championship, the Ukrainian fencers faced 'neutral' athletes from Russia in the 1/8 finals.

The Ukrainian team consisted of Daria Myroniuk, Alina Polozyuk, and Olha Sopyt. After the first five matches, the Ukrainians were trailing 18:19, but after the sixth bout, they surged ahead and maintained their lead.

Eventually, the Ukrainian team won with a score of 45:36, securing a place in the quarterfinals of the 2025 World Championship.

Unfortunately, in the semifinal match, the Ukrainians lost to the Italian team, 34:45.

Yesterday, on July 27, Alina Komashchuk won a bronze medal at the 2025 World Championship.
