The World Summer Universiade has successfully concluded in Germany, marked by a vivid closing ceremony.

On the final day of the competitions, the Ukrainian team secured another medal — a bronze. This was achieved by Mykola Rushchak from Sumy in the 20 km race walking event.
Ukraine ranked 14th in the overall medal standings. In total, our athletes won 12 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.
Mykola Rushchak expressed his emotions: «This is my highest international medal - it’s my first. I was just two seconds away from second place.»
Victoria Baranivska, who competed in the triple jump final, noted: «The atmosphere here is incredible, the arena and facilities are fantastic, and the organization is superb. Each day, you start to love these competitions more and more.»
Danilo Binder celebrated his international debut in rowing at the Universiade: «This was my first race at the international level on water, so we will strive to prepare better for the next race.»
Over the course of two weeks, student-athletes from 55 countries competed for the Universiade 2025 medals. The leading trio consisted of teams from Japan, China, and the USA.
