Five-year-old Regina Abramova has achieved a new national record by climbing Hoverla. The girl from Lviv is now the youngest person to reach the highest point in the country on her own.

This was reported by the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

Regina completed the route to Hoverla in 2 hours and 29 minutes, without any assistance from adults.

The Lviv Regional Administration stated that Regina practices rhythmic gymnastics at a specialized school. During her year of training, she has achieved three gymnastics ranks and is now preparing for an adult program.

Additionally, the Lviv girl enjoys running and has participated in over 20 competitions in this sport.

"Regina dreams of becoming an Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics," they added in the administration.

It is worth mentioning that in April, the young athlete set a record for Ukraine that had only existed in the adult category. She held the position of "vertical inverted hang on rings" for almost six minutes.

The girl trains six days a week for 5-6 hours each day.
