On July 13, the Black Sea coast of Odessa hosted the club championship of Ukraine in triathlon (aquathlon) for veterans of physical culture and sports.

The competition brought together 283 participants from different cities: Odessa, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Bila Tserkva, Lviv, Donetsk region, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Kryvyi Rih, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, and others.

The swimming segment (1 km, 2 km, 4 km) took place in the coastal area - from the «Chayka» beach (starting point) to the yacht club (Novoberezhna Street) and back. The running segment (5 km, 10 km, 20 km) traversed the Health Route - from the «Chayka» beach (starting point) to the «Golden Shore» beach and back.

In the overall standings for the absolute distance, the winner was Andriy Kushnerov (Kyiv) - 46:13, second was Serhiy Zviahin (Kyiv) - 53:18, and third was Odesa resident Petro Vasyliev - 58:09.

In the «long» aquathlon (2+10 km), Odesa athlete Vadym Maslenikov took first place - 1:13:01, silver was won by Kyiv's Serhiy Chernyshev - 1:14:53, and bronze went to another Kyiv athlete Serhiy Yanhicher - 1:16:35.

In the aquathlon «Standard» (1+5 km), the victory went to Andriy Pechenyi from Kyiv - 33:28, in second place was also Kyiv's Semen Tereshchenko - 34:07, while Odesa's Denys Polyakov took bronze - 35:08.

Among women in this distance, all podium spots were taken by athletes from Kyiv. The champion was Anastasia Ihnatkina, with Nadya Somina in second place, and Irina Krotova in third.

The competition was organized by the Odesa Regional Triathlon Federation with the support of the Odesa City Council.
