The head coach of Ukraine's U-20 team, Valeriy Plekanov, expressed satisfaction with the recent victory against Finland U-20 in a friendly match. He also addressed the injury of one of the key players, Luka Lokhmanchuk.
Plekanov noted that the team is dealing with player injuries, which poses some challenges.
“Unfortunately, Sypalo suffered an injury during the game, and we decided not to take any risks with his health. I hope he returns to training soon. Regarding Lokhmanchuk, we've confirmed that he will participate in the European Championship,” the coach stated.
This match was the last one in preparation for the upcoming European Championship, where our team seeks to avenge their previous defeat.
The EuroBasket 2025 will take place in Heraklion, Greece, from July 12 to 20. The Ukrainian team is placed in Group C along with Belgium, Germany, and Italy.
