The main draw for the third Grand Slam tournament of the season – Wimbledon – has taken place. Ukrainian tennis players have learned their opponents for the upcoming matches.
Elina Svitolina (14) is seeded 14th and will face Hungary's Anna Bondar (75) in the first round. Interestingly, the two previously met at Roland Garros, where Svitolina secured a tough victory in two sets.
Marta Kostyuk (26) is seeded 26th and will begin her campaign against qualifier Veronika Erjavec (171). This match will mark their first meeting.
Diana Yastremska (41) has drawn a tough opponent, as she will compete against the world number two, Coco Gauff. Gauff has won all three prior encounters, including a match in Madrid this April.
Yulia Starodubtseva (67) will go up against wild card holder Francesca Jones (125) from Great Britain. These players have not faced each other before.
The Wimbledon main draw will kick off on Monday, June 30.
