Ukrainian grandmaster Anna Muzychuk has won a bronze medal at the 2025 team world championship in rapid and blitz while representing the 'Freedom' club.

Following her victory at the prestigious Norway Chess tournament, where she secured 'gold', Muzychuk competed in her second team world championship in rapid and blitz held in London.

In the 'Freedom' team, she was joined by nine other chess players, including five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand. The competition featured 54 teams, each playing 12 rounds in a Swiss system, with six players competing per match.

The former world champion in rapid and blitz from 2016 played six games at the club world championship: earning one victory against Shoka Gaal from 'Team Hungary', four draws, and suffering a loss to Elina Rebers from 'Knight Dance' in the final, 12th game. As a result, Muzychuk contributed three points to her team's total.

After 12 rounds of the club world championship, the 'Freedom' team accumulated 17 points and received bronze medals. The championship was won by 'Team MGD1' with 21 points, while 'Hexamind Chess Team' took silver with 20 points.

According to the latest FIDE rankings updated in June, Anna Muzychuk currently holds the seventh position with 2535 points.
