Ukrainian climber Yaroslav Tkatch has secured a gold medal at the European Cup in Zakopane, Poland, while also setting a new record for Europe and Ukraine.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine reports that Tkatch clocked an impressive time of 4.93 seconds in the final, defeating fellow Ukrainian Hryhoriy Ilchishyn, who earned a silver medal with a time of 4.97 seconds.
