Today, June 7, the 1/8 finals of the European Championship took place in Chișinău, Moldova, where the teams of Ukraine and Latvia faced off.

By winning their group, the Ukrainian team advanced to the playoffs against the team that finished third in their group, which was Latvia.

The "Blue and Yellow" had no issues with this opponent, scoring three goals in the first half: two from Dmytro Melnychuk and one from Maksym Zavhorodny.

Latvia managed to score one goal at the end of the first half, but at the start of the second half, Oleksandr Zdebskyi restored Ukraine's three-goal lead. Thus, the final score was 4:1 in favor of Ukraine.
