The Ukrainian U-21 team achieved a hard-fought victory against Spain U-21 in a friendly match.
The game ended with a score of 1:0, serving as an important preparation for the Euro 2025 championship.
Spain took control from the outset, but failed to convert their opportunities. The Ukrainians showed more aggression towards the end of the first half, with Nazar Voloshin coming close to scoring, but the goalkeeper made a crucial save.
At the start of the second half, Spain completely altered their lineup, while Ukraine made only a goalkeeper substitution.
The second half continued to see Spain dominate, but Ukrainian goalkeeper Ermakov made a vital save in the 79th minute after a deflection from a Moleiro shot. Mihavko also had a chance to score with a header that narrowly missed the goal.
In stoppage time, the Ukrainian team clinched the win when Ilya Kvasnitsya headed the ball into the net following a cross from Bohdan V'yunyk.
