Ukrainian artistic swimmer Daria Moshynska made a remarkable appearance at the Euro-2025 final held in Funchal, Portugal. She competed in the technical solo program.

Leading up to this event, Moshynska had already secured a silver medal in the team competition. This was her first solo performance at the European level, and prior to this, Ukraine had not been represented at this level since 2022, when Marta Fedina won gold in both the technical and free programs.

Sixteen artistic swimmers from various countries participated in the solo competitions. Among her rivals were the 2023 world champion and bronze medalist from the 2024 Paris Olympics, Spain's Iris Tio, the silver medalist from the 2022 World Championship, Italy's Enrica Piccoli, and the winner of the 2024 World Championship Super Final, Germany's Clara Bleier.

Moshynska was considered a contender for the podium ahead of the final. At the World Cup stage in Sombae, she had previously won silver in the technical solo program.

How did the competition unfold?

  • Moshynska scored 229.4417 points for her performance. Judges awarded her 133.4917 points for execution and 95.9500 points for artistry.
  • In the final standings, Moshynska placed seventh, finishing over 19 points behind the third place.
  • The victory went to Austria's Vasiliki-Pagona Alexandri, who surpassed her closest competitor Iris Tio from Spain by more than eight points. The top three was completed by German swimmer Clara Bleier.
