Niko-Basket has officially signed a contract with 21-year-old guard Maxim Safonov, who will be playing in the upcoming Ukrainian Super League season after his time at Kyiv-Basket.
This announcement was made by the press service of the Mykolaiv club.
In the last season, Safonov helped Kyiv-Basket to become the Super League runner-up, averaging 4.4 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game across 36 matches.
Maxim is a product of Niko-Basket's youth system. During the 2022/23 season, he was part of the championship-winning team Budivelnyk and also played for Lviv's Politekhnik-Galychyna.
Recently, Niko-Basket also announced the extension of the contract with forward Mykhailo Mitrich.
