The Ukrainian gymnastics team has made adjustments to its roster for the 2025 European Championship in Leipzig.

This information was confirmed in an official order from the Ministry of Sports.

2016 Olympic champion Oleg Vernyayev has now been included in the main roster of the national team, after having previously been on the reserve list.

Updated Roster of the Ukrainian Team for the 2025 European Championship

  • Nazar Chepurniy
  • Oleg Vernyayev
  • Vladislav Gryko
  • Stasis Butrimas
  • Dmytro Prudko
  • Yegor Perepylkin

The European Championship in gymnastics will take place from May 26 to 31 in Leipzig, Germany.

It is worth noting that on May 6, it was revealed that the Gymnastics Federation of Ukraine decided not to send Sartynskyi to the championship where Ukrainian gymnasts were supposed to compete.

However, the athletes expressed their outrage at this decision and announced a boycott of the competition, blaming the Vice President of the Federation, Stella Zakharova, for "systematically destroying men's gymnastics in Ukraine from within."

Sartynskyi believes he was excluded from the European Championship because he does not succumb to influence from the Federation. Earlier, the UFG condemned the Ukrainian team’s intention to boycott the championship.

Zakharova, in an exclusive comment, revealed who is the initiator behind the Ukrainian team’s boycott. She specifically accused Vernyayev.
