On April 3, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II in Kyiv will host the Ukrainian premiere of the documentary film 'Tommy Gun: On the Road to Kupyansk'.
This screening is part of the FOR FREEDOM project.
Premiere of 'Tommy Gun' Film: War in Ukraine
The film features Gino, who has been serving in the International Legion of the GUR since 2022. He sustained serious injuries during operations near Kupyansk. His life was saved by his comrade Thomas Harris, for whom the film is named. After rehabilitation, Janette returned to create a film that shows the war through the eyes of its participants.
The film has already gained recognition at international film festivals. As the organizers note, it serves as a 'powerful voice of truth' and a step towards uniting the world against Russian aggression.
Following the screening, there will be an online Q&A session with the director and the father of the fallen hero.
The event is organized by the R. T. Weatherman Foundation as part of the FOR FREEDOM project, which also includes an exhibition about foreign volunteers at the 'Motherland' monument until the end of May. Admission to the premiere is free.
