Starting February 1, 2025, prices for train tickets to Poland and Hungary will rise due to a reduction in discounts.

This was announced by "Ukrzaliznytsia".

Ticket prices for trains to Austria and Moldova will remain unchanged.

The increase is attributed to significant losses from passenger transportation (18 billion UAH last year) due to rising costs of materials and energy resources.

"Previously, to promote its international routes, Ukrzaliznytsia agreed on special discounts with neighboring countries' railways. Now, the company is forced to gradually revise these discounts," the company stated.

Tickets to Poland will become 9-27% more expensive in compartments and 20-27% in Intercity+ and SV trains.

On the most popular route, Kyiv-Warsaw, the increase will be 37%, while on the Kyiv-Budapest route, it will be 17% in SV and 21% in compartments.

Tickets for February can still be purchased at the old prices until January 31, 2025.

Reminder:

"Ukrzaliznytsia" is launching a full meal service on selected trains in test mode.
