On September 13 and 14, 2025, Kyiv hosted the Spartan Weekend, a vibrant event featuring sports competitions and a charitable aim – to support Ukraine's military forces.
This event was organized by Spartan Race Ukraine in collaboration with the Diana Podolyanchuk Charity Fund.
Participants competed across three distances: Sprint – 5 km with 20 obstacles, Super – 10 km with 25 obstacles, and Beast – 21 km with 30 obstacles.
To complete the courses, they had to overcome high barriers, traverse muddy trenches, climb ropes, crawl under barbed wire, and run at full speed.
Athletes with disabilities also participated, including those injured in the war against Russian aggression.
For children, a Kids Competitive race was organized, promising numerous exciting adventures.
During the event, a charity auction was held featuring unique lots, including a medallion shaped like Zmiinyi Island, adorned with stones from the island and signed by Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov.
Funds raised during the event will be directed towards purchasing combat boats for the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“A strong nation is a strong army. Together we support our soldiers and promote Ukrainian sports, which is vital for the youth,” emphasized Yevheniy Yerin, a representative of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
