Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's GUR, held a significant meeting with the founder of the Temerty Foundation, James Temerty, his sister Lyudmila, the foundation's director Kristina Voler, and the director of the Ukrainian World Congress, Andriy Potiichny.

James Temerty is one of the leading philanthropists globally, who has launched numerous projects to support Ukraine since the onset of the war, including funding for educational initiatives, healthcare facilities, and infrastructure restoration.

During the meeting, they discussed potential support for Ukraine's military intelligence and ways to consolidate efforts of the Ukrainian diaspora worldwide.

“The diaspora plays a crucial role in strengthening our nation's defense capabilities. Through collective efforts, we can respond more swiftly to challenges and ensure our soldiers have what they need,” General Budanov noted.

Temerty emphasized the effectiveness of Ukrainian military intelligence officers.

“The work of the Main Intelligence Directorate and its units is impressive in its professionalism. It is an honor for us to support these brave individuals who risk their lives daily to protect Ukraine and the shared values of the free world,” he emphasized.

Budanov also expressed gratitude to James Temerty for his invaluable contributions to Ukraine and congratulated him on receiving the state award “National Legend of Ukraine” from President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Today, Ukrainians worldwide are uniting for a common goal — victory. Supporting leaders like James Temerty exemplifies global solidarity and faith in our nation,” General Budanov concluded.
