The Lithuanian Parliament hosted an art exhibition by Ukrainian artist and activist Diana Podoliantschuk, titled “Roots. Foundation. Strength.”.

This event, held on July 15, coincided with Ukrainian Statehood Day and attracted numerous visitors.

Diana's paintings reflect the history and struggle of the Ukrainian people for freedom. Some works are dedicated to the operations of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.

“I created some of these pieces in the bomb shelters of Kyiv during air raids. They express the emotions and experiences of the Ukrainian people, their longing for peace and victory,” Diana Podoliantschuk stated.

General-Lieutenant Kyrylo Budanov, head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, thanked the Lithuanian people for their support during the war.

“It is essential to remember that art and culture are a vital part of our struggle and future victory. Our culture reflects the heroism and strength of the Ukrainian people,” Budanov emphasized.

Diana also presented her new painting “Tree of the Soul: Common Roots of Lithuania and Ukraine,” which symbolizes the strong historical ties between the two nations, and gifted it to the Lithuanian Parliament as a sign of gratitude.

Glory to Ukraine!
