The First Lady of Ukraine visited the inclusive summer camp «CosmoCamp: A Space for Everyone», which was organized for the first time this year with financial support from the Olena Zelenska Foundation.
Olena Zelenska interacted with the children and their mentors, learned about the camp's program, and participated in various activities. The camp features physical exercises, workshops, creative sessions, themed games, and parties.
This summer, around a hundred young Ukrainians will have the opportunity to enjoy time at «CosmoCamp», including children with disabilities, those who have lost one or both parents due to the war, and children who had to leave their homes for safer regions.
«The capacity of a state is measured by the ability of its most vulnerable citizens. We strive to provide support, protection, and opportunities for those who face the greatest challenges, particularly children with disabilities who require rehabilitation and special attention. This effort is also part of the state’s strategy for accessibility,» emphasized Olena Zelenska.
The organization «See with the Heart» has been organizing «CosmoCamp» since 2016, creating a safe inclusive space that brings together children with diverse experiences and needs.
Psychosocial support for children, teenagers, and youth is one of the main priorities of the Olena Zelenska Foundation. Within this framework, the Foundation has assisted in organizing rehabilitation camps for over 700 children across various regions of the country.
