On April 15, coinciding with World Art Day, the unveiling of a new commemorative coin titled ‘The World of Couture Art: Lyubov Panchenko’ took place, honoring the legacy of the distinguished artist and designer Lyubov Panchenko.

This was announced by representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The coin, with a nominal value of 10 hryvnias, is made of 925 silver and features a special uncirculated quality. The weight of the precious metal is 31.1 g, and its diameter is 38.6 mm. The edge of the coin is smooth with incised inscriptions indicating the metal type, its purity, and the logo of the Banknote and Minting Factory.

The obverse of the coin depicts a stylized portrait of Lyubov Panchenko, framed by elements from her famous work ‘Bucha Spring’.

The artist’s gaze, filled with creative energy, seems to transcend time, symbolizing strength and commitment to ideals. This composition emphasizes the profound connection of the artist to her homeland.

‘Bucha Spring’ is more than just a painting; it is a manifesto of beauty and resilience, as it is in Bucha where the artist was born and lived. This image is forever engraved in the city’s memory and in the hearts of her admirers, becoming a symbol of hope for revival.
