Significant negotiations concerning the security of the Black Sea are currently taking place in Turkey. These discussions are held at a military level, involving leaders from the "Coalition of the Willing" – including the United Kingdom and France.
Sources indicate that President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a press conference in Odesa on April 15 following a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, mentioned that discussions are being held in Turkey.
Zelensky emphasized that the meeting focuses on Black Sea security issues and involves the "Coalition of the Willing."
"For the past two days, this topic has been discussed with our Turkish partners. Representatives from European nations, including the UK and France, as well as Ukraine and Turkey as the host country, have been invited," he added.
Earlier, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that a meeting would take place on April 15-16 to discuss Black Sea security in light of a potential ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.
It is noteworthy that, although Turkish media previously reported potential Russian participation, Ankara has denied this information.
Recall that following negotiations in Saudi Arabia from March 23-25, the USA, Russia, and Ukraine agreed to discuss securing maritime navigation in the Black Sea.
However, afterward, Russia put forward a list of demands, including the easing of sanctions on the agricultural sector. The USA stated they would consider these demands, while Europe rejected the idea of sanction relief.
