Ukraine has enacted new sanctions against ex-NBU head Serhiy Arbuzov and former head of the presidential administration Andriy Klyuyev. 

This was revealed through a decision signed by Volodymyr Zelensky. 

Also included in the sanctions list are entrepreneurs Viktor Polishchuk and Alona Shevtsova.

What to know about the sanctions against Klyuyev and Arbuzov

The sanctions target officials from the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych - specifically, Serhiy Arbuzov, the former head of the National Bank of Ukraine, and Andriy Klyuyev, the ex-head of the presidential administration.

Additionally, restrictions were applied against Viktor Polishchuk and Alona Shevtsova, co-owner of “Ayboks Bank.”

According to media reports, Viktor Polishchuk owned the “Eldorado” home appliance chain and the “Gulliver” shopping mall.

The imposed sanctions include deprivation of state awards, asset blocking, and an effective ban on economic activities in Ukraine.

This decree comes into effect from the day of its publication.

Zelensky has also introduced sanctions against Kremlin propagandists

This week, President Volodymyr Zelensky imposed sanctions on Russia's shadow fleet, as well as on 71 individuals and 18 propaganda media outlets.

The introduced restrictions encompass asset blocking, deprivation of state awards, limitations on trade operations, measures to prevent capital withdrawal, suspension of economic and financial obligations, and a ban on media dissemination within Ukraine.
