On April 11, Ukraine officially established diplomatic relations with Somalia, announced Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

Sybiha stated: "We have officially initiated our diplomatic relations with Somalia. I signed the relevant protocol with Somalia's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ali Mohamed Omar."

The event took place in Turkey during the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.

"We also discussed ways to enhance our cooperation. Ukraine provides assistance to Somalia under the "Grain from Ukraine" initiative and is ready to continue strengthening the country's food security. We appreciate Somalia's support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Sybiha concluded.
