Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur shared the outcomes of his two-day visit to Kyiv.
This information is reported by ERR, as stated by "European Truth".
During the visit, the Estonian minister emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in defense and military assistance to Ukraine.
Accompanying the minister were representatives from over 30 defense industry enterprises from Estonia.
At a special forum, these companies established contacts with Ukrainian colleagues representing nearly 90 local defense enterprises and familiarized themselves with each other's products.
"One of the strengths of the Estonian defense industry is certainly in drones, technologies, and intelligence. However, our entrepreneurs should not limit themselves to these areas – they need to seek opportunities for the production of heavy weapons and ammunition. We certainly have much to learn from the Ukrainians," Pevkur stated.
He also stressed that closer cooperation between the defense industries of both countries contributes to strengthening security for both Estonia and Ukraine.
Recently, Ukraine provided a list of desired military equipment worth 100 million euros, which Estonia is set to quickly procure from its domestic defense industry.
At the end of February, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Mihal announced the transfer of a new military aid package to Ukraine.
