On Tuesday, April 8, the new border crossing point "Velyka Palad – Nadyhodosh" commenced operations with temporary infrastructure in the Transcarpathian region.
According to "European Truth", the information was provided by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.
The new crossing point "Velyka Palad – Nadyhodosh" is designed for passenger vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons and will operate daily from 7 AM to 6 PM.
It is expected that the crossing point will accommodate 200 cars and 600 pedestrians daily.
Vice Prime Minister for Ukraine's Restoration, Oleksiy Kuleba, stated that there are plans to open a fully operational crossing point in the future.
"This is the first new border crossing point on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border opened in several decades", – he emphasized.
In total, there are five vehicle crossing points on the Ukraine-Hungary border. The largest, "Chop – Zakhon", is the only one designated for trucks over 7.5 tons carrying goods.
It is worth noting that in December 2024, the "Luzhanka – Beregshurany" crossing point became available for empty trucks weighing over 7.5 tons.
