The police emphasized the necessity for drivers in Ukraine to use turn signals.

This information was provided by the patrol unit of the Kyiv region.

Drivers are required to activate their turn signals in the following situations:

before starting or stopping;

before lane changes, turns, or U-turns.

Signals must be given in advance: in urban areas – 50-100 m ahead, and outside cities – 150-200 m ahead. After completing the maneuver, the signal should be turned off immediately.

Fines for Violations

Recently in Boryspil, a case was recorded where the driver of a Volkswagen T-Roc failed to use the turn signal at the intersection of Kyivskyi Shlyakh and Bezivka streets.

The police stopped the vehicle and issued a citation for violating the rules regarding warning signals (Article 122 of the Administrative Code).

Law enforcement encourages drivers to adhere to traffic rules and activate turn signals to reduce the risk of accidents and ensure road safety.

Additionally, with the arrival of warmer weather, motorists are advised to switch from winter to summer tires. This is essential not only for preserving the tires' lifespan but also for safety, as winter tires perform poorly on hot roads. Currently, there are no fines in Ukraine for using winter tires during warm weather, but this may change.
