The Attorney General's Office has submitted an indictment to the court regarding two residents of the capital who defrauded farmers of over 3 million UAH.

According to the Office of the Attorney General, the accused have prior convictions.

Posing as government officials, they contacted potential victims and offered foreign grants for agricultural development.

They coerced farmers into paying fees as commissions, then converted the obtained money into cash.

The defendants promised to fulfill their obligations under the agreement to delay the farmers' reports to law enforcement, but eventually stopped answering calls altogether.

The accused are currently in custody.
