The 'Yellow Ribbon' resistance movement organized a Christmas event in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Activists shared photos showing them wearing embroidered shirts, preparing 12 traditional dishes, setting up Christmas trees, and decorating them with Ukrainian symbols. They reported this on Telegram.
"In the temporarily occupied territories, Ukrainian Christmas continues to thrive despite the prohibitions. We want to show how the activists of the «Yellow Ribbon» movement celebrate Christmas - by wearing embroidered shirts, preparing traditional dishes, setting up Christmas trees, and decorating them with Ukrainian symbols, preserving what the occupiers attempt to erase. At the festive table, we make our most cherished wishes - freedom, victory for Ukraine, and health for our loved ones", they wrote.
Christmas cannot be occupied, the activists added.
