Starting November 1, new speed limits for vehicles will be implemented in Kyiv and Dnipro, reducing the maximum speed to 50 km/h. This was announced by Oleksiy Biloshytskyi, the first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department.
In particular, in Kyiv , the speed limit changes from 80 km/h to 50 km/h on four main sections:
- Dnipro Embankment (from Postal Square to Nadnipryansky Highway);
- R. Shukhevych Avenue (from the Northern Bridge to Honoré de Balzac Street);
- Stepan Bandera Avenue (from Yordanska Street to the Northern Bridge);
- Rybalska Embankment (towards from Electricians Street to the Havansky Bridge).
In Dnipro , the speed limit is also being reduced from 70 km/h to 50 km/h on the following segments:
Zavodskaya Embankment, with exceptions:
- 200 meters from both sides of the intersection with Pavlov Street;
- from the slag dump exit to the Kadyak Bridge;
- 50 meters from both sides of uncontrolled pedestrian crossings near the intersections with Fatima Hafurova Street;
- Victory Embankment (from Yaružna Street to Cosmic Street);
- Zaporizhzhia Highway (from Shynna Street to Airport Street);
- Donetsk Highway, from the intersection with Berezinska Street to signs 5.49 (50) "Dnipro";
- Sunny Embankment, from the intersection with Lyubarsky Street to the Samarsky Bridge;
- Central Bridge;
- Kadyak Bridge;
- Ust-Samarsky Bridge.
As Biloshytskyi noted, on streets and roads where automatic violations of traffic rules are being recorded, specifically:
- in Kyiv — on Dnipro Embankment, 4,
- in Dnipro — on Zavodskaya Embankment, 64 and Victory Embankment, 38-A, the automatic violation detection systems will be recalibrated to the new allowed speed.
