Starting November 1, new speed limits for vehicles will be implemented in Kyiv and Dnipro, reducing the maximum speed to 50 km/h. This was announced by Oleksiy Biloshytskyi, the first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department.
In particular, in Kyiv , the speed limit changes from 80 km/h to 50 km/h on four main sections:

  • Dnipro Embankment (from Postal Square to Nadnipryansky Highway);
  • R. Shukhevych Avenue (from the Northern Bridge to Honoré de Balzac Street);
  • Stepan Bandera Avenue (from Yordanska Street to the Northern Bridge);
  • Rybalska Embankment (towards from Electricians Street to the Havansky Bridge).

In Dnipro , the speed limit is also being reduced from 70 km/h to 50 km/h on the following segments:

Zavodskaya Embankment, with exceptions:

  • 200 meters from both sides of the intersection with Pavlov Street;
  • from the slag dump exit to the Kadyak Bridge;
  • 50 meters from both sides of uncontrolled pedestrian crossings near the intersections with Fatima Hafurova Street;
  • Victory Embankment (from Yaružna Street to Cosmic Street);
  • Zaporizhzhia Highway (from Shynna Street to Airport Street);
  • Donetsk Highway, from the intersection with Berezinska Street to signs 5.49 (50) "Dnipro";
  • Sunny Embankment, from the intersection with Lyubarsky Street to the Samarsky Bridge;
  • Central Bridge;
  • Kadyak Bridge;
  • Ust-Samarsky Bridge.

As Biloshytskyi noted, on streets and roads where automatic violations of traffic rules are being recorded, specifically:

  • in Kyiv — on Dnipro Embankment, 4,
  • in Dnipro — on Zavodskaya Embankment, 64 and Victory Embankment, 38-A, the automatic violation detection systems will be recalibrated to the new allowed speed.
