The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and Bell Textron Inc have signed an agreement aimed at enhancing cooperation in the aviation sector. The signing ceremony took place in Washington during the AUSA 2025 international exhibition, attended by a Ukrainian delegation, as reported by the Ministry's press service.
The AUSA 2025 exhibition served as a platform for Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindratiy and Bell's Executive Vice President Jeffrey Schlosser to sign the cooperation agreement.
According to the agreement, Ukraine plans to establish new production and service capacities for high-tech engineering.
This partnership aims to revive the national helicopter industry. Bell Textron Inc is prepared to develop its manufacturing base in Ukraine for assembly, maintenance, and repair of helicopters.
The company will open a representative office in Ukraine, create a final assembly and testing center, and explore the possibility of establishing a joint venture with Ukrainian partners. Furthermore, it will ensure technology transfer and training of Ukrainian engineers and technical specialists in the USA.
These steps will lay the groundwork for licensed helicopter production in Ukraine and the development of new industrial capabilities in aviation.
"This Memorandum marks a significant step towards advancing modern production in Ukraine, facilitating investment in strategic sectors," stated Kindratiy.
Bell Helicopter, the American helicopter manufacturer, is considering investing in production in Ukraine.
Bell Textron Inc is an aerospace manufacturer headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, and is part of the Textron corporation.
