The Ukrainian government is launching a new platform for coordinating evacuation processes concerning individuals from temporarily occupied and frontline areas. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko on the Cabinet website, along with Vice Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba in his Telegram channel.
“By distributing responsibilities among those in charge of evacuation, we are creating conditions for assessing the needs of evacuees. This will enhance the services provided at transit centers and temporary accommodation locations,” Svyrydenko stated.
The evacuation process is structured as follows:
- Ministry of Development – overall coordination;
- Ministry of Social Policy – social support and reintegration;
- State Emergency Service – safety and technical aspects.
Local authorities are responsible for implementing evacuation measures, including organizing assembly points, notification, and transportation.
The National Social Service of Ukraine coordinates the work of multidisciplinary teams consisting of social workers, psychologists, lawyers, and medical professionals.
Kuleba also mentioned that the Ministry of Development has prepared a new “roadmap” for clear organization of evacuation actions.
“The main goal is to create a unified digital mechanism that ensures a safe and understandable evacuation process,” he noted.
All data regarding individuals' needs, routes, and assistance provided will be recorded in the new coordination system. This information will be accessible to the services assisting individuals.
Implementation of this system within three months will be ensured by the Ministry of Social Policy, which will be responsible for its administration.
