On Tuesday, October 7, American company SpaceX launched another 28 Starlink satellites, marking the 130th mission for its rockets this year. According to Space.com, the Falcon 9 rocket with the satellites took off from the Florida launch site at 09:46 Kyiv time.
The first stage of the rocket returned to Earth as planned, landing in the Atlantic Ocean on a SpaceX drone ship about 8.5 minutes after launch.
The upper stage of Falcon 9 continued to carry the Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit, where they are expected to be deployed approximately 64 minutes after liftoff.
Today's mission was the 126th flight of the Falcon 9 workhorse and the 130th launch overall for SpaceX.
Earlier, on September 19, the company successfully launched another 24 Starlink satellites.
