Ukraine has officially designated Electronic Warfare Day, which will be celebrated every year on September 12.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The document states that this holiday was introduced to strengthen national military traditions, taking into account the critical role of electronic warfare units in defending against external aggression and ensuring the security of the nation’s critical infrastructure.

The decree came into effect on the day of its publication.

Zelensky also congratulated the military personnel on this new professional holiday, emphasizing that electronic warfare soldiers work invisibly but very effectively to protect Ukraine.

"Electronic warfare soldiers neutralize enemy drones and missiles, maintain communication between units, and help our defenders stay safe. I thank each and every one of you for this vital work. You save lives every day and strengthen our army. We will always remember and be grateful to those who gave their lives in this war. Eternal memory. Thank you. Happy Electronic Warfare Day" - said Zelensky
