During the summer of 2025, five new temperature records were recorded in Kyiv.

This information was provided by the staff of the Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory, based on data from the united meteorological station in Kyiv.

The records were set between June 6 and June 8.

For instance, the average daily temperature on June 7 reached 7.2°C, exceeding the previous record from 2011 by 1.5°C.

Notably, only in July was the temperature above the norm by 1.3°C.

The other summer months were cooler compared to the long-term average.

“August 25 was the coldest day of the summer with a temperature of 9.9°C, while July 7 was the hottest at 34.4°C,” the specialists noted.

In total, 202 mm of precipitation was recorded over the three summer months, which is 102% of the climate norm.

July was the wettest month, with rainfall equating to one and a half times the monthly norm.
