The event was attended by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine's Reconstruction Oleksii Kuleba, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, Minister for Veterans Affairs Natalia Kalmykova, and Deputy Head of the President's Office Pavlo Palisa.

The Head of State listened to the report from the spokesperson of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, Hennadii Popenko. The cemetery has been equipped with sectors for honorary burials, two columbaria have been built, and engineering networks and access roads have been laid out. A parking lot and a shuttle bus service have been arranged for visitors. The President arrived today using this shuttle.

A separate area has been designated for the burial of soldiers whose names are not yet known. An Alley of Limes is also being created here – a symbolic road of memory.

The uniqueness of the memorial lies in the standardized burials. Initially, a temporary cross will be installed based on Cossack monuments from the 15th-16th centuries, and after a year, a permanent gravestone in the form of a cross or plaque will be set up. The final option will be chosen by the relatives of the deceased.

Today, five defenders were buried, whose names are currently unknown. The cemetery will continue to accommodate the burials of unknown heroes.

The memory of the fallen soldiers was honored with a moment of silence.
