Due to low water reserves in the reservoirs, Ukrhydroenergo will implement rational strategies to prepare for the winter period.
This was reported by the company's press service.
"This year we are witnessing the lowest water reserves in the past decade. This is a result of low water levels in the rivers," the statement said.
In addition to generating electricity, Ukrhydroenergo is also obligated to provide water to consumers. Therefore, hydroelectric power engineers must maintain certain reserves and water levels in the reservoirs.
"Unfortunately, the water levels are significantly lower than last year. However, the company is doing everything possible to accumulate reserves by autumn. To this end, Ukrhydroenergo will rationally use water to ensure adequate storage in the reservoirs," the press service emphasized.
Furthermore, Ukrhydroenergo continues its work on restoring and protecting its facilities, as well as conducting scheduled repairs at the HPPs and PSPs.
As previously reported, Ukrhydroenergo has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the consulting company PADECO Co., Ltd for the implementation of the Kaniv PSP project.
