In the first two weeks of operation of the DOT-Chain Defence system, military units in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Kherson directions received their first batch of one thousand FPV drones. This was reported in a press release by the Defence Procurement Agency.

The delivery time for orders was less than two weeks, which is over four times faster than the standard procurement procedure. The fastest order reached the front line in just 6 days.

Currently, military personnel have submitted 43 requests for nearly 7,000 drones (FPV and bombers) totaling about 245 million UAH. In pilot mode, the system is connected to 12 brigades operating in areas with the highest intensity of combat actions. The first orders were placed on July 31.

The DOT-Chain Defence IT system has been developed by the State Logistics Operator and is used by the Defence Procurement Agency for rapid and targeted supply of weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

To ensure an effective start for DOT-Chain Defence, the Defence Procurement Agency and the Logistics Operator conducted online training and field consultations in combat zones. During the visits, military personnel were assisted in placing their first orders. According to the director of the Defence Procurement Agency, Arsen Zhumadilov, such trips are planned to be regular to gather feedback and adapt the system to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The DOT-Chain Defence system operates like a marketplace: military personnel independently choose the type and quantity of drones, which are then procured using funds from the Defence Procurement Agency. Currently, only FPV drones are available, but in the future, the system is expected to expand to other units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and to include a wider range of equipment, including EW/EI means, NRK, and additional types of drones.
