A video generated by artificial intelligence is circulating on TikTok, allegedly featuring President Volodymyr Zelensky promising financial aid to Ukrainians who remained in the country after February 24, 2022. The video mentions a sum of 7348 hryvnias.
This information is reported by the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council (CCD under NSDC).
To "receive" these funds, the creators of the fake suggest clicking on a link in the profile and filling out a form.
"In reality, such payments are not provided, and the president's video address is fabricated. The goal of spreading such fakes is to increase the audience of Telegram channels linked in the published URLs," the message states.
The CCD emphasized that reliable information about payments should only be verified through official government sources. The center has already debunked a similar fake regarding an alleged payment of 24,000 hryvnias to Ukrainians who did not leave the country after February 24, 2022.
