During her visit to Japan, the First Lady of Ukraine, along with the team from the Olena Zelenska Foundation, held significant meetings with representatives from Japanese government organizations and businesses.

Among the participants were Katsura Miyazaki, the first executive vice president of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA); Hiroshi Nojima, president of Nojima Corporation; Hiroshi Mikitani, founder of Rakuten Group; and the leadership of Daiwa House, a leading construction company in Japan. The Foundation team also engaged with representatives from Panasonic Corporation, a renowned electronics manufacturer.

At the meeting, the president of Nojima Corporation announced a contribution of 200 million yen for Foundation projects aimed at supporting children.

Rakuten Group expressed interest in supporting Foundation projects, and discussions regarding collaboration terms are ongoing.

Olena Zelenska expressed gratitude to the companies and JICA for their continuous support of Ukraine.

“Restoring Ukraine is not just about infrastructure. It is primarily about people, especially children who deserve to grow up in safety and care. I hope these meetings will mark the beginning of meaningful cooperation in areas that are critically important for the recovery of Ukrainian society through support for every child,” the First Lady emphasized.

During the meetings, the Foundation team presented their activities and key projects, including building shelters in schools, creating Superhero Schools in hospitals, providing students with gadgets for remote learning, and constructing homes for large foster families. A new initiative of the Foundation, youth psychosocial support spaces for teenagers aged 12 to 21, was also introduced.
