Starting August 1, Ukrzaliznytsia has implemented new verification requirements using Diia.Signature for ticket purchases on three selected trains.

This information comes from the company’s press service.

The decision was made in response to passenger feedback, as reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.

Verification will be necessary for ticket purchases on the following domestic routes:

  • №29/30 Kyiv — Uzhhorod,
  • №12 Lviv — Odesa,
  • №27/28 Kyiv — Chop.

This means that trains №105/106 Odesa – Kyiv and №91/92 Lviv – Kyiv have been removed from the previous list.

Additionally, to purchase or return tickets for these trains, passengers will need to verify their account in the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile app.

To ensure access to these tickets for those without new passports or the ability to update them, the company has kept ticket sales available at several ticket offices:

  • in Chop (ticket office №2);
  • in Uzhhorod (ticket office №2);
  • in Lviv (ticket office №1);
  • in Odesa (ticket offices №14 and №2);
  • in Kyiv (ticket offices №21 and 22).

“We are closely monitoring the results of this pilot project to determine if we will expand this practice to other routes,” the company stated.
